It’s not always easy, but we are here to help. We’ve seen what you’re up against many times before. It’s an awkward space, a specific colour scheme, a much loved piece that has seen better days or you know what you want but simply can’t find what you’re looking for or even know if it exists. Or you may know exactly what you want, but worry about getting the professional quality paint finish you’re looking for.
Commissioning a bespoke refinished piece of vintage furniture can be the answer to all of these problems and really needn’t be daunting or expensive. We’ve helped many people solve these tricky vintage furniture issues before, as you can see from our inspiration gallery and reviews. We can get you there with these five simple steps.
Step 1. Do you already have furniture that needs an update or do you need help finding one?
Many of our customers have a piece of furniture that just doesn't suit their interior decor any more. If that's the case, then all you need to do is provide us with the dimensions and a photo or two.
If you don’t have the vintage furniture piece yet, we can help source one for you. Just tell us what you’re looking for, we'll search for you and send you options as we find them. We'll just need an initial deposit from you to make sure you're committed, so that we can buy the piece we find on your behalf.
We also have a small stock of furniture ready and waiting for a new look. You may find what you're looking for in the available for commission section.
Step 2. Tell us what you want it to look like
Don’t worry if you don’t have a clear idea of what you want, we can help with that.
If you can provide us with some photos or details about the room it will sit in, for example, colour scheme, wallpaper, fabric or other furniture it needs to fit with, we can work with that. Even better is you have images of colours, styles and interiors that excite you to give us an idea of what you like.
If you know what you want, whether it’s a specific style, pattern or colour combination, we can help bring it to life.
Either way, we're always happy to discuss options with you and give you an estimate tailored to what you're looking for before you commit. Just drop us a line for a chat about your project.
Step 3. We’ll send you design options and pricing
Once we've worked out what you want, you pay an initial deposit and then we’ll work up some design options with costs based on design complexity and materials. This can include sourcing elements such as handles or lining paper if required.
Step 4. Decision time
We can adjust our designs based on your feedback so that together we make it exactly what you want. Once you’re happy we’ll confirm the final price and estimated delivery date.
Step 5. Leave it with us
We’ll get started as soon as we have a slot in our workshop, expect to receive progress updates from us. Once complete you will need to pay the remaining balance and can then either pick up your new furniture from us at no cost or we can arrange a delivery to you using one of our trusted couriers.
It’s really as easy as that. If you are ready to take the first step towards owning that piece of furniture that’s perfect for you, we would love to discuss what you’re looking for, there’s no commitment needed. Email us at info@orangeotter.co.uk or call us for a chat on 07747 111 610.
